These are finely ground buckwheat groats that cook very quickly. They’re commonly used as a breakfast cereal.

Basic Cooking Instructions

• 1 cup buckwheat grits
• 3 cups water
• 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions: Bring 3 cups water and 1/4 teaspoon salt to a boil. Add 1 cup buckwheat grits turn heat down cover and cook for 10 minutes. Serve with honey or brown sugar and milk or milk substitute. Add almost any fruit or nuts. Makes 2 ½ servings.
